Why the firm exists. Financial due diligence has been sold the same way for thirty years: a large firm, a large team, a large bill, and a report that arrives in four to six weeks. Most of those weeks are spent pulling transactions out of bank statements and ledgers and matching them by hand. The judgment, which is the part a buyer or lender is actually paying for, takes a fraction of the time. Credex was formed to separate the two, so that the mechanical work is done by software and the judgment is done by a CPA, and the client pays for the judgment.
What we do differently. Every engagement includes a full transaction level cash proof, for the entire period under review, never a sample. Every engagement is performed by CPAs and reviewed by an engagement partner with national firm transaction advisory experience. Every fee is fixed before we start. And the clock starts when the seller's documents are complete, not when we get around to it: we request documents from the seller and the seller's accountant directly and copy the client on status.
Independence. Credex Advisors is engaged by, and works for, the party relying on the report: the buyer, the lender, or the seller preparing to go to market. We do not accept engagements where a fee depends on the outcome of the transaction, and we do not perform diligence on a company for which we have prepared the financial statements.
The Credex diligence platform. The platform performs the extraction, classification, matching, and reconciliation that make diligence slow when done by hand, and it keeps every schedule tied to the underlying bank and ledger data so a reviewer can trace any number in the report to its source. It is a tool for the CPAs who use it; the conclusions in every report belong to the engagement partner who signs it.
